Dear Comunidad,
We write to acknowledge the incidents that occurred at El Centro’s collaborative Cafecito with QSR on May 5, 2023. We know that it’s been a difficult time for many in our community since. We, too, have been sitting with and processing what happened that day. As we do this, we want to assure everyone that we are committed to hearing the concerns and feedback from all of our comunidad and stakeholders. We have been working with our campus partners to address these issues via upcoming comunidad discussions that we hope will happen before the year’s end. We look forward to sharing details, as they become available, for the opportunities where we can all join in productive conversations to discuss the ways that we can all grow, learn, and heal as a community.
