Graduate Student Programs
¡Bienvenidos! Bem vindos! Welcome!
On behalf of all of us at El Centro Chicano y Latino, I would like to personally extend a warm welcome as you either begin or return to your graduate studies at Stanford University.
Completing a graduate program can be both intellectually exciting and personally challenging as you move into a new home and work to find your place in your Department or Program. We are here to guide and help you. El Centro Chicano y Latino provides many services that are uniquely designed for graduate students. We offer campus resource advising, professional development lectures, dissertation writing space, academic talks, a Wellness Sanctuary, social events, tutoring, mentoring opportunities, the Graduate Scholars-in-Residence Program, and a wonderful sense of comunidad. Quite simply, we think it’s one of the best places on campus to connect with students outside your department or program. So whether you walk over from Cubberley or take a longer stroll from the Li Ka Shing Center, please come and find us. You will be glad that you did.
Please feel free to contact either myself or my wonderful colleagues Elvira Prieto or Jacob Velásquez should you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas that you may have about our programs and services.
We are so glad that you're here!
All best wishes,
Margaret Sena, Ph.D.
